Anglo-Saxon Prosopography PASE (Prosopography of Anglo-Saxon England) is a database of all recorded inhabitants of England from the late sixth to the end of the eleventh century. British Empire Studies Links, an international directory of scholars, and other materials dedicated to the study of the British Empire. Run by Britannia, this claims to provide the internet's most comprehensive coverage of British History.
Begun in 1995, the Camelot Project is a electronic database of Arthurian texts, images, bibliographies, and basic information. Celtic Inscribed Stones Project Directed by Professor Wendy Davies, the CISP is compiling a database of all known Celtic inscriptions c. 400-1100 in Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Brittany, the Isle of Man, and parts of western England. Included are all stone monuments inscribed with text, whether in the Celtic vernacular or Latin, in the Roman alphabet or ogham (but excluding runic inscriptions). Results-to-date are available online. The Collection of Historical and Contemporary Census Data seeks to enhance the use of censuses in teaching and learning.

An ongoing project since 2003, this site aims to provide information on Old, Middle, and Early Modern Irish narratives that deal with the exploits of Irish kings, including a list of all the extant sagas together with plot summaries; notes on manuscript sources, translations, and editions; bibliographies of secondary literature; and character lists. The purpose is to provide students and teachers with the background necessary to read and appreciate these sagas.

A joint project of the Library of Congress and the British Library, this site explores four centuries of Anglo-American relations. An online guide to reading the Latin used in documents between 1086 and 1733. It includes word lists, advice on dating documents, and other similar resources. A searchable index to more than 3300 wills of laity in the diocese of Lichfield. A compendium of common (and uncommon) knowledge about the period from 1558-1603 including maps and information on the Elizabethan order of precedence for peers. Mapping Medieval Chester This AHRC-funded interdisciplinary project examines Chester as a border city and asks how different medieval inhabitants imagined and represented the urban space around them. Medieval English Towns A grab-bag of miscellany on the subject, focused especially on East Anglian towns. Medieval Genealogy Managed by a self-described "enthusiast," this site offers a wealth of basic information about resources--from manorial archives and wills to the records of London's livery companies--for tracing individuals before 1600. Mostly English, with some Welsh material. Medieval Scotland A collection of articles and resources on medieval Scotland that includes an extensive bibliography of both primary and secondary materials. Modern Equivalents of Latin Placenames in early printed books Searchable by either Latin or English forms. Monastic Wales This large-scale project seeks to establish a comprehensive monastic history--and datebase--for medieval Wales. Partnered with the National Archives, this site explores the experiences of immigrants to England since 1800. It includes an online catalogue of original material related to migration history from local, regional and national repositories.
