Summary:

This unique collaboration of words, rhythm and melody—with piano, bass, drums, sax and guitar—will bring together student writers from across the university with USC Thornton musicians for a dynamic evening of performance poetry with live musical accompaniment.

Description:

Poetry resides on the page, but it lives on the stage. Presented in conjunction with the Visions and Voices performance of The Langston Hughes Project, this unique collaboration of words, rhythm and melody—with piano, bass, drums, sax and guitar—will bring together student writers from across the university with musicians from the USC Thornton School of Music for a dynamic evening of performance poetry with live musical accompaniment.
