Many in the West are puzzled with the current political situation in Afghanistan. Despite more than a decade’s attempt to establish a strong government Afghanistan’s political system remained fragile and fraught with corruption, lack of good governance, and military insurgence. This presentation will explain some of the reasons for the current plight of international and national efforts to stabilize the country.
