Summary:

Dr. Sean Field will discuss oral histories in the context of both the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Centre for Popular Memory in South Africa and approaches to studying memories of violence.

Description:

Dr. Field is a senior lecturer at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and director of the Centre for Popular Memory for the past 11 years. He was a founding member of the Oral History Association of South Africa (OHASA) and a member of the Executive Council of the International Oral History Association (IOHA).Hosted by USC shoah Foundation
