Southern California businessman and USC Philosophy Alumnus Paul Reddam will discuss how the study of philosophy can be valuable for those planning careers in business, and how the cognitive skills acquired in philosophy can benefit both employees and employers. He will also announce a paid internship program at his company for USC students.

Southern California businessman and USC Philosophy Alumnus Paul Reddam will discuss how the study of philosophy can be valuable for those planning careers in business, and how the cognitive skills acquired in philosophy can benefit both employees and employers. He will also announce a paid internship program at his company for USC students. 

Paul Reddam earned his Masters in Philosophy at the University of Toronto and his PhD in Philosophy from USC, where he specialized in logic and epistemology. He was a Professor of Philosophy at Cal State L.A. before moving into the business world, founding DiTech Funding Company in 1995. Today he is President of CashCall, a consumer finance lender located in Anaheim that employs more than 1,500 people. He is also a breeder of thoroughbred race horses, most notably the 2012 Kentucky Derby winner, I’ll Have Another, which later sold for $10,000,000.
