Resource Competition in East Asia: Political and Environmental Implications
The USC School of International Relations and Program on Environmental Studies is presenting a symposium on the political and environmental implications of resource competition in East Asia.
The event will feature opening remarks by Robert English, director of the School of International Relations, and Jim Haw, director of the Environmental Studies Program. Victor Cha, former NSC Asia director and current director of Georgetown's National Resource Center for Asian Studies will be giving the keynote address and will be followed by a panel on resources, energy and the environment and another on the regional implications of resource rivalry. To conclude the symposium, a roundtable discussion will be held on political, economic, and environmental security in changing East Asia.
