Max Ginsburg will give a demonstration, painting from life in the alla prima style, while he discusses his method and techniques, as well as the thinking and concepts that inform his work, and the historical and contemporary basis for his unique brand of social realism. Ginsburg is a New York-based artist whose work is renowned for realism in both form and content; he uses his art to explore the great themes of human life, taking on the subjects of war, peace, and social injustice, as well as life’s many joys.

The USC Fisher Museum of Art is proud to host the California Art Club's 102nd Annual Gold Medal Exhibition, which will be on view from June 2-23, 2013. Any and all events and activities for this exhibition are operated under the auspices of the California Art Club.
