Screening of the documentary film "The Face of Lincoln".

Screening of the documentary film The Face of Lincoln, which won the 1955 Academy Award for best short film, followed by a lecture by Jean Stern, Director of the Irvine Museum, on the life and works of Robert Merrell Gage. The lecture will look at several of Gage’s monumental sculptures, many of which can still be seen in and around Los Angeles. As a professor of sculpture at USC as well as the 13th President of the California Art Club (1932-33), Gage was an important figure in the history of both organizations.

The USC Fisher Museum of Art is proud to host the California Art Club's 102nd Annual Gold Medal Exhibition, which will be on view from June 2-23, 2013. Any and all events and activities for this exhibition are operated under the auspices of the California Art Club.
