Description:

Jenny Price, Public Humanities Scholar and L.A. Urban Ranger

Dr. Price will discuss her keynote address from the American Society for Environmental Historians 2012 conference, "Stop Saving the Planet, Already!: Rachel Carson, History, and the Future of Environmentalism."

Part of the Past Tense seminar series, which focuses on the craft of writing history, there will be special focus on her writing process and framing. Coordinated by Adam Arenson, assistant professor of history at the University of Texas, El Paso and coordinator of the Past Tense seminar series, which is co-sponsored by the USC-Huntington Early Modern Studies Instittue, The Huntington-USC Institute on California and the West, and the Huntington Library.
