B.A. in Social Science emphasis in Economics

The B.A. in Social Sciences with Economics allows for the broadest curriculum in the Economics Department. Students will learn advanced Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, then can branch off and explore various topics in Economics while paring these courses with other Social Science disciplines such as Political Science, Sociology, International Relations, and Psychology.

ECON 203- Introduction to Microeconomics  4 units

ECON 205- Introduction to Macroeconomics  4 units

MATH 118 or 125- Calculus I  4 units

Core requirements:


ECON 303*- Intermediate Microeconomic Theory  4 units

ECON 305*- Intermediate Macroeconomics Theory  4 units

Upper Division Electives:


            Three-300/400-level Economics electives  12 units

            Three-300/400 level Social Science electives  12 units
