Freeman Foundation Undergraduate Asian Studies Initiative II

In 2008, EASC received a generous grant of $400,000 from the Freeman Foundation, a private and philanthropic foundation dedicated to augmenting international understanding between the United States and the nations of East Asia. The grant was matched by an additional $200,000 from the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, U.S.-China Institute and Korean Studies Institute. With this funding, EASC has initiated the Global East Asia scholarship study abroad programs in China, Japan and Korea for USC undergraduates.
