12:00 PM to 1:30 PM

Ahn House (AHN), USC

Saori Katada, Associate Professor of International Relations, and Meiling Cheng, Associate Professor of Theatre/Critical Studies and English, will give a talk on professional public speaking for graduate students who are non-native speakers of English. Good public speaking skills are important for a career in academia, and non-native English speakers often face unique challenges when giving presentations. This talk will address these issues and provide advice specifically to graduate students who are not native English speakers on how to present well in an academic setting.

This talk is part of the EASC Grad Forum professionalization series.
