To add a printer in Windows:
- Go to START > CONTROL PANEL > HARDWARE AND SOUND: Printer > Add Printer
- Follow the wizard, select Add a local printer > Create a new port > Standard TCP/IP > Next
- Enter the desired printer's IP address. Visit printing for a list of our department printers.
- The model should automatically be detected if you're connected to "Wireless Earth Network," otherwise choose the most appropriate from their list.
- Name the printer according to the room (e.g., ZHS 119b)
To add a printer in Mac:
- Go to APPLE > SYSTEM PREFERENCES > PRINTER & FAX
- Click on the [+] to add a printer.
- In the IP section, select HP Jetdirect - Socket for Protocol.
- Enter the desired printer's IP address. Visit printing for a list of our department printers.
- Enter the printer name according to the room (e.g., ZHS 119b)
- The model should automatically be detected if you're connected to "Wireless Earth Network," otherwise choose the most appropriate from their list.
