Our Vision

To connect learning to everyday life
To raise competent global leaders

The Korean Language Program at USC aims to connect language learning to students' everyday life. We connect language learning to students’ everyday life by drawing upon authentic materials and linking students’ linguistic and cultural knowledge to other content areas. Furthermore, we aim to prepare our students to become competent global leaders by cultivating their translingual and transcultural competence. In order to accomplish this, we seek to establish standards-based and performance-oriented curriculum and to create student-centered learning environments.
