Summary Statement of Research Interests

• After living in France for a couple of years, earning an MA in Modern English Literature, and then teaching community college, Nada returns to USC to study travel writing, feminist theory, postcolonial theory -- specifically the impact of decolonization on the family (and pregnancy and birth) and the politicalization of the veil. She feels a little lost writing about herself in the third person.
