Caterina Crisci received her Laurea in Hebrew from the University of Rome's "La Sapienza" after completing a translation of selected works by Yehuda Amichai. She spent a post-graduate year studying in Tel Aviv where she did research on television and reception theory. Her research interests include cultural studies, contemporary Israeli literature, poetry, theory of translation, memory, trauma,and Holocaust studies. Even though she can barely ride a bike, she has worked professionally as a translator and interpreter for a major motorcycling company.
