Originally from New York, Christina graduated from Stony Brook University, where she obtained a B.A. in Linguistics and Italian studies with a minor in Hispanic Language and Literature. Her primary interests lie in the areas of Phonetics and Phonology. Her research thus far has focused on studying the production of consonantal length contrast in Italian using Real-time MRI. More generally, she is interested in how basic mechanisms of motor control shape speech production.
