Biographical Sketch
Nan Cohen is the author of the poetry collection Rope Bridge, and her poems and prose have appeared in Gulf Coast, Ploughshares, Poet Lore, Poetry International, Prairie Schooner, Tikkun, and other magazines, and in the anthologies Morning Song, Lounge Lit, The Prentice-Hall Anthology of Women's Literature, and In a Fine Frenzy: Poets Respond to Shakespeare. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow and Jones Lecturer at Stanford University, she has taught at UCLA, Pierce College, and Antioch University Los Angeles, and was the 2005-06 Emerging Writer Lecturer at Gettysburg College. Among her awards and honors are a Rona Jaffe Writer's Award, a Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Prize, and a Literature Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. She is Poetry Director of the Napa Valley Writers' Conference.
