After working for the Huntington Library, Anne (Andie) Reid joined the USC History Department in 2006. Her dissertation investigates how Franciscan missionaries medically ministered to Native peoples and to each other in Spanish California. More broadly, her work brings together the histories of health, medicine, and the environment. Her committee members include William (Bill) Deverell, Peter Mancall, and Maria Elena Martinez. She welcomes questions about her research or the USC history program.
