Associate Professor (Teaching) of Writing

Biography

Rochelle Gold has been teaching in the Writing Program at USC since 2015. Her classes emphasize critical thinking, collaboration, and multimodality. Currently, she teaches Writing 150: Issues in Sustainability.

She has recently presented her research on composition pedagogy at national and regional conferences including CCCC, Computers and Writing, Western States Rhetoric and Literacy Conference, and NCTE.

Outside of the classroom, she spends her time reading, listening to podcasts, watching TV, and being outdoors as much as possible. She values civic engagement and enjoys supporting students in their own civic engagement work.
