Biographical Sketch |

Dr. Juliana Qiong Wang is an Assistant Professor of the Practice with the Environmental Studies Program in Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. She is an Environmental and Natural Resource Economist, focusing on environmental issues in China. Her recent work focuses on the governance of natural monopolies (water and power utilities) and the role of market forces in the Chinese socialist context. At USC, she has taught ENST 150 Environmental Issues in the Society, ENST 387 Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, ENST 520 Environmental Law and Policy, ENST 450 Case Studies in Green Economy and ENST 499 Water and Energy Management in China: Market Forces and Socialist Ideology. She is currently proposing a Problems Without Passports (PWP) course in China examining the economics of urban development and the environment. Dr. Wang has worked as as a consultant to the World Bank and has served as the Assistant Director of the Yale Climate & Energy Institute. She holds a B.A. from Beijing Foreign Studies University, an M.A.in Economics and a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies (Environmental and Natural Resource Economics) from Yale University. |
