Biographical Sketch

I consider myself a computational geographer, a moniker which spans computer algorithms, database management, geographic information systems, scientific modeling, cartography and visualization. I am also an experienced project manager, having led numerous database and GIS/mapping activities for government and industry sponsors. My current research focuses on gazetteers, geological maps, and data stewardship in the geosciences generally.
