Description of Research

Summary Statement of Research Interests

I pair contemporary genomic technologies with more traditional lab and field approaches to study marine organisms. One research focus is to evaluate the diversity and ecology of environmental microbes. I also study the symbiotic interactions of microbes with other organisms, such as sponges and corals.
