Summary Statement of Research Interests |
|
| Professor Wong's research interests include race, ethnicity and politics; political participation, political mobilization and public opinion research. She is author of "Democracy's Promise: Immigrants and American Civic Institutions" (2006, University of Michigan Press). She has published articles on race, ethnicity and politics in Political Behavior, American Politics Review, Social Science Quarterly, P.S.: Political Science and Politics, and the American Journal of Sociology. As part of the Pilot National Asian American Political Study (PNAAPS) research team, she co-authored "The Politics of Asian Americans: Diversity and Community," (Routledge 2004) an analysis of the first multi-city, multi-lingual, multi-ethnic survey of Asian Americans' political attitudes and behavior. She teaches courses on race and politics and asian american politics and has studied the demographics of voting participation. Her current research is on immigration, religion and conservative politics in the United States. | |
