Description of Research

Summary Statement of Research Interests

Currently involved in life detection missions to Mars, Professor Beaudet studies real world applications of chemistry, including how to defend against chemical and biological warfare. He researches the area of high resolution molecular spectroscopy, particularly in the microwave and infrared region, and has made significant contributions to the determine the molecular structures and properties of small boron hydrides and carborane molecules from their microwave rotational spectra.
