Biographical Sketch
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Jessica Piazza now lives in Los Angeles while pursuing a PhD in Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Southern California. After her undergraduate work at Boston University, she co-founded the Speakeasy Poetry Reading Series in New York City. Later, while pursuing an MA at the University of Texas, Austin, she co-founded the literary journal Bat City Review. She writes poetry, fiction and non-fiction, and her main academic fields are prosody and contemporary literature.
