Biographical Sketch
Arunima came to USC after completing her M.Phil in English at the Faculty of Arts, University of Delhi. She has taught Victorian Literature, Renaissance Drama and Indian Writing in English at various colleges at the University of Delhi. Her PhD dissertation explores contemporary representations of the provincial countryside in relation to globalization, in Indian film and literature. Her interests include: popular culture, film, gender studies, ethnic studies, postcolonial and queer theory. Besides the doctoral degree in English, she is also pursuing the Gender Studies as well as Visual Studies graduate certificates.
