    Summary Statement of Research Interests
    My area of research interest is applied time series analysis, with concentration in empirical macroeconomics and finance. I also enjoy economic analysis and teaching using Mathematica. My research papers have been published in several refereed journals (please, see my CV). Every year I organize and chair Applied Time Series Econometrics Session of the Western Economic Association International Conferences where a number of my students and colleagues present their research papers. The following is the list of my research activities during 2013-2014 academic year: “Efficiency of Currency Asset Classes,” International Journal of Economics and Financial Issues, Vol. 3, No. 2, PP. 544-558, Fall 2013, (with Fatemeh Ibrahimi Nazarian and Ana Kristal Molina). “Determinants of the Real Exchange Rate as a Prerequisite for the GCC Monetary Union,” Journal of Applied Sciences, 14, (24), 2014, PP 3410 - 3423, (with Hassan Hajhoj and Abdulrazzak Charbaji). “Risk and Return Analysis of Mortgage Based Securities,” presented at the 89th Annual Conference of the WEAI,July 2014,submitted for publication, (with Hamid Falatoon).
