Assistant Professor of Women's Studies and History, University of Nevada Reno

Emily Hobson is a historian of sexuality, gender, and race and of radical social movements in the 20th century U.S., with a particular emphasis on the postwar period. She teaches in the fields of transnational American Studies, comparative ethnic studies, gender and queer studies, LGBT history, and U.S. history (1865-present). Her first book, Lavender and Red: Race, Empire, and Solidarity in the Gay and Lesbian Left, is under contract with the University of California Press.
