Biographical Sketch

Nisha Kunte is currently a doctoral candidate in American Studies and Ethnicity. She received her B.A. in Asian American Studies from Columbia University. Nisha’s research interests include futurity and possibility, popular representations of raced/gendered/queered bodies, and medical humanities. Her dissertation, Narrative Incorporations, explores questions of ethical engagement across difference and the articulation of self and other through narratives of organ transplantation. Nisha is pleased to work with Dorinne Kondo, Viet Nguyen, and Fred Moten.
