The College Collaboration System is an umbrella term for an number of different accounts providing services such as central email, collaboration, application and file sharing system used by over 1100 Faculty, Staff & Students in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Some of the services and advantages of the CCS:
- Generous email and file storage quotas.
- Flexible retention rules.
- Email and files are secure, backed up and rotated off-site.
- Access to MS Office Professional and the latest Microsoft OS upgrades.
- Centralized collaboration tools include: Email, Calendar, Address Books, Tasks, Secure Instant Messaging and more.
- Worldwide access to the CCS via the web. Files, email, calendar, address books and more are available via any web browser.
- Access to the College Blackberry Server for complete wireless synchronization of email, calendar, tasks, notes, & address books.
- Windows, Mac OS X & Linux client support.
The College Collaboration System is comprised of 4 primary applications:
- Novell GroupWise 8 Enterprise Email and Calendaring System
- Novell File Sharing
- GroupWise Instant Messenger
- Novell Zenworks – Desktop application delivery application
We offer training on the College Collaboration System every 1-2 months and email all USC Dornsife Faculty and Staff when a new session has been scheduled. Also, please check our events calendar for more information about our training offerings.
