Michael Waterman is elected a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in computational biology and bioinformatics. He was also recently awarded the China Friendship award for his contributions to the development of computational biology in China.
Eigth faculty members, Christoph Haselwandter, Aiichiro Nakano, Fei Sha, Paul Thompson, Arthur Toga, Anton Valouev, Kai Wang and Arieh Warshel, joined CBB as adjunct faculty.

Eigth faculty members, Christoph Haselwandter, Aiichiro Nakano, Fei Sha, Paul Thompson, Arthur Toga, Anton Valouev, Kai Wang and Arieh Warshel joined CBB as adjunct faculty. These joint appointments significantly expanded and strengthened the CBB expertise in computational structural biology, neuroimaging, and big data science. 


 

Two papers from Remo Rohs’ group were selected as Top-10  papers in regulatory genomics by RECOMB/ISCB

Two papers  published in Nucleid Acids Research and Molecular Cell received a RECOMB/ISCB Top-10 Paper Award for the most influential papers in 2013-2014 in the fields of regulatory and systems genomics. A recent publication of the group in Trends in Biochemical Scienceswas selected as Feature Review and Cover Article.

 

Peter Ralph published a joint PLoS Biology paper exploring recent European history from genomic data
