Bradford Holmes
Classics
A native Bostonian, Bradford graduated from Harvard University in 2004 with a B.A. in classics. From there he moved to New York, where he spent two years teaching both Latin and English, as well as attempting to coach both soccer and baseball, at a small private school. Bradford's research interests center on classical Athenian literature, law and cultural history, and he reserves his greatest enthusiasm for Attic Old Comedy. He is currently working in a project investigating how the class tensions of early fourth century Athens were reflected in contemporary plays of Aristophanes via their depiction of emotions.
