Assistant Professor
Systems and Ecosystem Modeling

The Marine and Environmental Biology (MEB) section of the Department of Biological Sciences (3616 Trousdale Parkway, Los Angeles, California, 90089-0371) in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences of the University of Southern California invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in Systems and Ecosystem Modeling for an anticipated start date of Fall 2012. Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in modeling complex dynamical ecological systems, along with interest in integration and synthesis of large scale experimental studies and/or observational data. We are seeking to appoint a highly promising junior scholar with research interests in marine systems and possible additional expertise in aquatic, or terrestrial environments. The Molecular & Computational Biology Section of the Department of Biological Sciences in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2012 in computational population/evolutionary genomics. We seek an innovative, productive scientist who is making significant contributions to the field. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching and to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program. The position will be in the Molecular and Computational Biology (MCB) Program, which is a unique collaborative environment with strong expertise in the generation and quantitative analysis of molecular biology data.
