Apply to the Thematic Option Honors Program

Before you apply, please read the following:

  • Only students who have been ADMITTED to the University of Southern California may apply to the Thematic Option Honors Program.

  • Unfortunately, continuing USC students, transfer students, and students admitted to the spring semester are not eligible to apply for the Thematic Option Honors Program.

  • Students of all majors may apply to the Thematic Option Honors Program.

  • Thematic Option students have average SAT I scores above 2150 and an average high school GPA of 4.0.  These are NOT minimum standards to apply for the program, though SAT scores and GPA will be considered as applications are reviewed.  Students with significantly lower SAT scores or GPA may be asked to submit supplemental materials such as writing samples.

  • Students are considered for acceptance to Thematic Option based on their application to the program.  Scholarship status or admission to other USC programs are not taken into consideration.

  • Since space in the program is limited, we encourage interested students to apply to Thematic Option even if they have not yet decided that they will attend USC.

  • DEADLINE: April 10, 2013
    • Admission is not a rolling basis.
    • Applicants who apply by the April 10 deadline will be notified of their acceptance status on April 19.
    • Applications recieved after the April 10 deadline will considered for admission after May 1 on a space available basis.
  • After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a copy of your application.  Please save this for your records.

If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact our office so we can verify that your application has successfully been submitted.
