Life at SC

Hi, all! My name is Jennie and I’m a sophomore here at Dornsife. I’m originally from Palo Alto, California but my parents moved to Maryland a couple of years ago so I’ve spent some time on the East Coast, too. I’m definitely glad I returned to California for college because LA has an infinite amount of things to do (and eat). I also love the year-round sunny weather!

I’m currently majoring in English/Creative Writing and Business, and I’m about to add a cinema minor. I’m also in Thematic Option (T.O.), which is an amazing program if you like to read and write (sometimes even when you don’t!). It definitely exposed me to much of what USC has to offer (fantastic professors and fun trips!) and some of my classes I’ve taken include “The Treachery of Memory” and “Searching for Life in the Universe.”

This semester, aside from being a Dornsife Ambassador, I’m a writer for Bamboo Offshoot, one of USC’s many publications, a co-founder and vice president of the new Asian Americans in Humanities & Arts (AASHA) club, and a marketing intern for Better Buddies, a socially responsible pet product company (one of the founders is Julie Berman, General Hospital star and USC alum!). As you can see, USC has given me no shortage of things to do!

Feel free to follow me on twitter (@jenniezhangusc) and definitely feel free to ask me any questions!
