Hi guys!
My name’s Melina and I’m so happy to be a Dornsife Ambassador this year. I’m currently a sophomore majoring in English and double-minoring in Psychology and Organizational Leadership. It sounds like a lot, but something I love about USC is that I can pursue so many different interests and still have room in my schedule for other classes!
Outside of school, I’m the Publications Chair of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Greek life is big at USC and has been an amazing part of my own USC experience, and I would strongly recommend it! In high school, I never thought I would “go greek” in college, but I love it and it’s pushed me to be a better person in many ways.
Aside from that, I love to write! (If you didn’t already get that with my English major and position as Publications Chair!) I want to be a writer, literary agent, editor, or work with some kind of literature after I graduate college. I’m actually taking my first creative writing workshop next semester so I’m really excited!
What else… I’m from LA, I hate the rain, I’m an only child, I make To Do lists, I love to laugh, and I think USC is just about the best place on Earth. People here are constantly inspiring me to do better, work harder, and be bolder. Everyone has so much spirit and so much passion; it’s infectious! And it really is a Trojan family. So from me to all of you, I hope you become a part of it!
