Hello prospective Trojans! My name is Devra and I’m a sophomore here at USC. I was born in Thousand Oaks, CA, moved to West Lynn, OR when I was two, and moved to Scotch Plains, NJ when I was four, which is where I learned to ride a bike sans training wheels, where I discovered that my favorite food is Almond Honey Bunches of Oats, and where my USC acceptance letter was mailed to.
My first semester at USC, I was undecided, and I am now majoring in Sociology, minoring in Photography & Social Change, and hoping to pick up another minor by the end of this semester. I have thoroughly enjoyed about 85% of the classes I have taken so far at USC, among which have been Ballroom Dance, the Sociology of Childhood, Tennis, an Occupational Therapy Creativity Workshop, and many more.
At USC I am involved in Troy Camp, USC’s official philanthropy, where I tutor, mentor, and lead artistic programs with kids in the neighborhood around USC. I have a job at USC Hillel, I am a Dornsife Ambassador, and I participate in Joint Educational Project, where I help teach a dance class at a local after-school enrichment facility.
