The Sixth Annual West Coast Joint Graduate Liberal Studies Symposium calls for papers for presentation at the symposium to be held June 22-24, 2012 at the University of Southern California.
This interdisciplinary symposium provides an opportunity for students and alumni from West coast graduate liberal studies programs to come together to share their work and experiences, and to foster growth in the intellectual community at the core of GLS programs. Approximately 45 students are selected to present papers prepared in a GLS course to an audience of their peers, alumni, faculty, and friends. We also encourage non-presenting students and alumni to register and attend the symposium.
Students submit 250-word proposals to their program directors using the proposal form by March 1, 2012 (unless specified otherwise by your program director).
Selected students will give a 20-minute presentation at the symposium, followed by brief Q&A. Sessions run concerrently throughout the day on Saturday, June 23, and Sunday morning, June 24.
